Reading the script in Haystack
Read the script scene by scene without leaving Haystack. Every scene gets a Script tab showing its script text, in every revision colour you have imported, so you can check a line on the web or on set from your phone.
Script viewing is switched on per production. An owner enables it in Project Settings with the Allow script viewing toggle; until then the Script tab is hidden on both web and mobile. See Project settings and feature flags.
- Open a scene from your Scenes list and go to the Script tab.
- Pick the revision you want from the dropdown. Each entry shows the revision colour and the date it was imported.
- Use the arrows above the text to page through the script section by section, or Go to to jump back to the section that matches this scene.
- Open the scene from the Scenes tab and switch to its Script tab.
- Pick the revision colour to read from the dropdown. The scene's script text shows below.
The Script tab reads from the scripts you have imported, and every imported revision stays available, so you can check what a scene said in an earlier colour. To get a script in, see Importing scenes from a script.
