Generating reports
Turn what you have logged into a PDF: a character's changes, the wear notes for a day's scenes, prep notes for the shooting day, or a catalogue of your wardrobe. Reports pull in the photos and details you have already saved, so they are only as good as what you have filled in.
What you can print
- Character changes: every change (or look) on a character, with photos and notes.
- Scene wear notes: a character's wear notes across the scenes you pick.
- Scene characters: everyone in a scene with what they wear in it.
- Scene prep notes: the prep notes for the scenes you pick.
- Garment and product catalogues: photo cards for garments or products, from a list, character, change or box. See Garment and product reports.
- Wrap report (web): the whole production in one document.
- Find the report button on the surface you are printing from: a selection in the Scenes list, a character's changes or scene notes tab, a change, the Costume or Makeup list, or a box.
- The report dialog opens with a title you can edit and the options for that report type. Pick the text size, and where offered choose whether to include scenes or changes with nothing on them yet, descriptions, and prep notes.
- Confirm. The report builds on the server; watch its progress and download the finished PDF from the Reports screen. See The Reports screen.
- Open the list menu on the screen you are printing from: the Garments tab, a character's changes or scenes, a box's contents, or the Scenes list. Tap Print.
- Tick the items to include. On character print-outs, choose whether to include scenes or changes with no notes yet, descriptions, and scene prep notes.
- Tap Print. Haystack downloads the photos, builds the PDF on your device and hands it to the share and print sheet, so you can print it or save the file.
Printing on mobile is currently available on iPhone and iPad only.
Reports are available to everyone on the production, readers included, so the whole team can pull the print-outs they need.
